Technical Assistance and Training Services to COVID impacted businesses.
The RI Society of Certified Public Accountants (RISCPA) partnered with RI Commerce to offer this program as part of the state’s CARES Act funding. The dates of the programming (2 cohorts) have been confirmed:

To assist businesses negatively affected by COVID-19, Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants will provide customized on-line training programs addressing various topics from general business areas such as cash flow, business plans, inventory control to common areas of need related to COVID 19 such as compliance with federal programs, diversification and repositioning, best practices for reopening and leveraging technology and digital solutions.

Description: Training and assistance to create or revise a business and financial plan, optimize market opportunities, update forecasting, support job creation and provide guidance on operational efficiencies
Title: LEGAL- COMPLIANCE REPOSITIONING AND LEGAL ENTITY FORMATION
Description: Ensuring companies are aware of, understand, and have strategies to comply with reopening policies. Provide guidance and support for new product/service development, diversification, repositioning and legal entity formation

Description: Providing guidance to businesses whose applications for financing are rejected by educating them on ways to improve credit scores and credit worthiness- financial literacy.

Description: Providing assistance with loan and grant applications, guidance for 504, 7a and other loan/grant applications for financing- Course includes materials for business owners rejected or looking to improve balance sheet and cash flow, guidance on funding protocols and documentation needed to submit successful applications, offered through Rhode Island Commerce Corporation
