Rhode Island Rebounds Small Business Grant Program

Rhode Island Rebounds is an initiative by the State to invest in its children, families, workers, housing, and small business owners through utilization of the American Rescue Plan State Fiscal Recovery Funds. This investment includes funds to assist small businesses as well as hard-hit tourism, hospitality, and event industries impacted by COVID-19. Rhode Island Rebounds is made possible thanks to Governor Dan McKee’s proposal and unanimous approval by the Rhode Island House and Senate.

We will continue to provide additional information over the coming days and weeks about how businesses can access assistance through these programs. You may sign up to receive updates on the programs as they become available using the sign-up feature at the bottom of the page.

Rhode Island Rebounds: Small Business Grant Program

The RI Rebounds Small Business Grant Program provides direct financial assistance to our state’s small businesses that have suffered financially due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Grants are available for either $2,500 or $5,000.

Informational webinar: To learn more about the program and how to apply, please join us on the Commerce Facebook page on Monday, January 31, 2022 at 3:30 PM.

Key Dates: The application will open the week of Monday, January 31, 2022 and will be open for an initial two-week period. After this initial application phase, the program may reopen if funds remain. If the program is oversubscribed before the end of the initial application period, applications will be prioritized based on factors including whether an applicant is one or more of the following: a first-time recipient of COVID-19 assistance from the State of Rhode Island, a very small business, and/or a Minority or Women Business Enterprise (MBE/WBE).
